Server Memory

Servers are the heart of your network. Don't you think they only deserve the best memory available???

More memory is probably the best value for a server. Increase the speed of the system and the applications with less money and easiness installation.
How I know if my server needs more memory???

Micronics offers modules for the top-of-the-line servers available on the market. Increasing the RAM to your server means much more speed and better networking service. Many times, a allow network is juts lack of memory on the server side. Check your server disk activity. If too high disk activity is detected, you surely have too little memory for the application you are currently running
The application running on the server is also a critical point to look at. For example, servers used for architectural or graphical purposes need huge amounts of RAM to perform smoothly. Also database servers, usually have to hold, large amount of numbers in RAM, so memory is the first step taken to improve the system performance.

Also, more users need more RAM.

If your network grows, you have to add memory to your system. More users = more work = more bottlenecks. More RAM will immediately solve most of your problems

Some platforms, like Novell, use small amounts of memory, are very efficient and the interface with the users are poor and non-graphic. Other network operating systems, like NT, are more complex and need more memory to perform flawlessly.
A rule of thumb for servers id 512MB for small and non-critical application as administrative and print servers, up to 4GB for graphic, database and application servers Micronics is very good priced. Go to 2GB at once to enjoy a powerful system from the very beginning.

Micronics is eager to support and solve your server memory questions. Just e-mail us for free information.

Important note: machine manufacturers can not state that the computer warranty is void if other bands of memory or peripherals are used on their systems. You are free to buy any brand of peripherals for your system without any implication on the computer warranty
